A Guide for Acupuncturists in Managing Patients' Immune Response to Vaccines
I’ve prepared a resource for licensed acupuncturists and medical professionals to help them support, aid, and encourage their patients in receiving the vaccinations they need.
This resource paper describes the theory and treatment of inflammatory responses to vaccinations in both the short and the long term. This is important for two reasons. First, while vaccines are very safe and side effects are very rare, when clinicians can handle possible inflammation arising from them, it will give patients who do have concerns about vaccines the confidence to receive the medicine they need. Secondly, this discussion will give clinicians a lens into a deeper understanding of how inflammatory conditions generally may be more effectively treated by classical Chinese medicine.
This paper will best be understood by readers with the level of understanding of Chinese medicine equal to the level of a graduate from a traditional Chinese medicine masters program.
